Ziro-Majuli-Hornbill Festival
This Tribal, Cultural and Photography tour will take you on a lifetime journey where you can witness the rich culture, ancient traditions and lifestyle of the tribal people of North East India. We will take you to discover the tribal villages of three states of India’s northeast region i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland. From the Apatani Tribe to the high rich cultural showcase of Hornbill Festival, this tour takes you to the most beautiful river island of Assam i.e Majuli and its stories.
Arrive at Guwahati International Airport and then we head towards Itanagar via Tezpur through the lush green scenic views on the way. Overnight at Homestay.
Post breakfast, we drive to the most unique village of Arunachal Pradesh. It is included the Tentative List for UNESCO's World Heritage Site for the Apatani Cultural Landscape. Reach Ziro by afternoon. Checkin to the award winning ethnic homestay.
After breakfast, we will set out to explore the beautiful landscapes and tribes of Ziro. The Apatinis are non-nomadic tribes. They are all settled in and around Ziro valley. The prime livelihood of this tribe is cultivation in wet lands. This tribe is very different from the other tribes of Arunachal. They also used to practice a culture of facial tattoos. We will interact with the local apatani people, listen to their stories, and learn a thing or two about their cultures. Overnight at Ziro Homestay.
Meeting with the unique Apatani and Nishi Tribes and knowing more about their customs traditions. A photographic tour to the Tribal Village and nearby areas. Night Stay at Resort.
Visit the unique Apatani farms where rice and fish are harvested together. Visit to the local market can be informative about knowing more about Apatani culture, customs, eating habits, attire and ornaments. Evenings will be at leisure. You may also taste their ethnic cuisine over dinner and their rice beer.

After the breakfast, we travel from Ziro To Majuli via Lakhimpur and then we reach Majuli by evening. Explore the riverside of Majuli in the evening and overnight stay at Riverside Resort/Homestay.
Post breakfast, we will head towards the exploration of various Satras located on the island. The famous satras are: Garmur Satra, Auniati Satra, Natun Samaguri Satra, Uttar Kamalabari Satra, Dakhinpat Satra, etc. Every Satra has its own specialty. You will get to know the history of these satras when you reach there. Also we will show you the famous Pottery art of Majuli. In the evening, enjoy the famous religious play performed by the monks of Vaishnavite satras. Overnight stay at Homestay.
After breakfast, today we will explore the local villages of Majuli. At first, we will explore the Mishing village where you will get to see their day to day life activities, traditional house on raised stilts, making of traditional attires such as-Rihbi, Gaseng, Seleng Gasor, etc. Then we will try some local cuisines and local rice beer. Then we will explore the villages of other communities such as Deori, Sonowal Kacharis, etc. Overnight stay at Homestay.
After the breakfast, Journey from Majuli via Jorhat to Dimapur, Nagaland. Cross the Brahmaputra River by ferry and then we head towards the Dimapur town of Nagaland.
Post breakfast, Drive towards the most famous destination of Nagaland : Kisama Heritage Village, the festival venue for Hornbill Festival. Visit to the world famous Hornbill Festival also known as “Festival of Festivals”
Post breakfast, today you will be exploring the Heritage village and also the museum and Morung (tribehouse) of various tribes. Have an ethnic lunch thali and head towards nearby villages such as Kigwema and Jakhama to experience the local life. You will return back in the evening.
Visit the main valley, spirit walls, caves, treasure chest, cross mountain, listen to the mystical stories about white elephants and many more folklores. The sparkling clear water of the Dzukou irrigates the valley.
Overnight at Dzukou Camp.
Post breakfast, Head towards the Kigwema Homestay and then after lunch visit the festival venue to Witness the Kohima Heritage Walk and other tribal shows and functions at the Hornbill Festival and more explorations to the region and tribal culture.
After breakfast, drive back to Dimapur We will drop you at the Dimapur Airport or Railway Station. End of tour.

Refund Policy
The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
Cancellation Policy
- If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
