Losar, also known as Gyalpo Losar, signifies the vibrant Tibetan New Year, celebrated with immense zeal and enthusiasm in Sikkim. This grand festival marks the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar and transcends religious boundaries, bringing together communities in a joyous celebration.

• The festivities typically last for fifteen days, with the first three days being the most significant. Losar is not just a religious occasion; it's a time for families to reunite, purge negativity from the past year, and welcome prosperity and good fortune in the new year.

• DAY 1 –In the morning, you will be received by our representative at Gangtok. From Gangtok arrive at Rumtek Monastery, the heart of Losar festival. Spend the rest of the day witnessing traditional Tibetan New Year, music and rich art forms.
• DAY 2 –Post breakfast, explore Gangtok city. Have an ethnic lunch and explore the villages if time permits. Late afternoon, it’s time to leave the beautiful location. You will be dropped to your respective location by our representative.

• Dress modestly, especially when visiting monasteries. Opt for clothing that covers shoulders and knees.
• Be respectful of religious ceremonies and local customs.
• Carry comfortable shoes for exploring monasteries and participating in festivities.
• Sikkim's weather can be unpredictable. Pack light woolen clothes and a raincoat.

• The travel management team/driver reserves the right to make changes or omit any place of visit, if it becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band, security reasons etc. Weather in the region is unpredictable. We have kept your sightseeing related with nature flexible.
