• A permit from the Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Department is mandatory for camping in Dong Valley.
• The best time to camp in Dong Valley is during the winter months (October to March) when the weather is pleasant and dry. If you wish to experience the lush green valleys the best time is the summer (April-October).
• Hiring a local guide is highly recommended, especially for first-time campers. They can navigate the terrain, help set up camp, and provide valuable insights into the local environment.
• Pack essentially with appropriate clothing for cold weather and a sturdy backpack.
• Practice responsible camping principles. Leave no waste behind, minimize campfire usage, and dispose of waste properly.
