- Day 1: Depart from Gangtok early morning, taking the scenic route towards Kewzing (around 78 km, 3-4 hours). Keep your eyes peeled for birds along the way, with chances of spotting Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Slaty-headed Parakeet, or even the elusive Himalayan Griffon. Upon reaching Kewzing, a charming village nestled amidst rolling hills, check into your pre-booked stay. After a refreshing lunch, embark on your first birding session in the afternoon, accompanied by a local birding guide. Explore the lower ridges of Kewzing village or the birding hotspot of Bakhim.
